Faces and Places Week

Last week was based on Faces and Places.  Each day we would do something that was related to our Faces and Places inquiry.

On Monday we walked down to the Hamanatua stream.  The first thing we did was pick up rubbish to show that we are all kaitiaki for our place.

Then, one of the teachers told us a story.  When they finished the story we did hut building.  When the hut building was over we walked back to school to have a swim and our lunch.  After lunch we had a famous artist come in and share his art skills with us, his name was Steve Gibbs and he is a local artist.

When the talk was over we went to the big field across the road to play five ball soccer.  It was a great day.

I really liked that you added in what you did for Faces and places and why you did it

I learnt that you remembered what Kaitiaki means

Maybe you could put more adjectives to describe words and add in what you did in between those gaps for example What does Kaitiaki mean or What type of hut you made!

  2. Hi Nathan,
I like how you explained what you did for the day. I also liked how you explained what the inquiry topic was for the term. Something that you could do for next time is add in a photo or video of the hut you made or of what you did so that it doesn't seem so boring.. Otherwise your blog post was really good. I like how you added in paragraphs into your writing. I can't wait to read your next blog post.
