Quick rights

This week we have had really fun quick rights, like for example we have written letters for our holidays to be early, we have written for how our new teacher should be like, we have written a menu of our favorite foods and our least favorite foods. I'm going to tell you all about it.

I started with writing my letter to the Board of Trustees. First I went and looked at the demonstration and used that info to make my letters address date and so on. It took time lots of crossing out and mostly baring the knowledge that that was only my draft. I finally finished my draft by Fly saying it was done.

Next I moved onto my menu of the foods that I liked. I finally decided that the name of the restaurant should be the Argarena because it was for kids and there was a arg in it. Then I thought up a whole lot of things that I liked and made them sound so yummy and mouth watering that even if you didn't like them you would by them. Once I finished the main course I moved onto the drinks, then the appetizers and then the deserts.

After I finished my menu of foods I liked I moved onto the draft of what my classes new teacher should be like. I started with thinking up what good qualities for a teacher and then I rote them down in the proper order. When I got to the end of the letter I tried to right a signicher but it didn't work.

Once I finished that letter draft I moved onto the menu to the foods I didn't like. I started with the main course, but this time instead of putting in yummy descriptions I put in yucky ones. Next I moved onto drinks but instead of good lemonade I put in sawer and no good lemonade but the main attraction was the no good rotten deserts.

After that was done I went onto the good copy of my letter. It was nerve racking and my hand shook but overall I had done well. So I moved  onto my second letter. It was just as nerve racking as the first letter and in that letter I messed up but in the end it turned out fine, and that is all the quickrights we did this week.

Bubble day

The Wednesday before we had started on our bubbles by searching up the best and biggest bubble
recipes and how to make them so the next wednesday we would have the biggest bubbles.

On wednesday the  17 of June we all got into our buzz groups, mine was with Alice, Krishna, jackson,
cory and Klara (but she wasn’t here), Then we listened to a long talk about the slides order. Finally we
all sat down at a table and made our slides. Next we made our bubbles, we had to modify the recipe
because we didn’t have any corn syrup but we made our own. Also we added some kind of other syrup
to thicken it. Once we put in the soap we went to mack the bubble wands. Some were already done so I
decided to mack the big bubble wand. Koka jo told us to get some big sticks so once we got the sticks we
asked someone to give us some string then I made the big bubble wand.

After morning tea we went out to blow our bubbles. Alice went first with the big bubbles wand but she
didn't have any. I went second and after a lot of tries I made a big bubble. My group kept making bubbles
but Reef and cory kept popping them but when we popped them back they got mad at us. When I had popped lots of other
peoples bubbles I went over to the mane bubble place and watched and popped other peoples bubbles.
Towards the end of the middle block I got a bubble on my hand but it didn’t pop until someone hit it but I
realized that if I so soaked my hand in bubble mix and blew a bubble onto it it would stick and not pop.

After lunch we finished our slides and had a big clean up and that is all.

pohiti

The pohiti started with koka jo saying a greeting call then koka Terry responded and all the new children came in. We started with singing a song, Wainui and while we were singing the new children and their parents sat on the benches that were on the stage. Then koka Nolian gave a speech and told our newcomers and then all the teachers told them there names. Finally we sang our school song. Once we had finished our school song for the second time over we sang a song that I don’t like very much as we left the hall and that was the end of our pohiti.

 (Yes it was very short)

Just dance

The music started to play. Everyone was doing great actions, and they laughed as everyone ran in a circle. The ghostbusters just dance had everyone having a blast. Then the best part started, The ghost started taking over the minds of the ghostbusters then let them go. It was great.

Once they moved onto the second song which was a new solo song (which was boring) but was actually really fun. Then we went back to class looking forward to the next day.

The next day, after morning tea we were back in the hall to do a really fun song which we were really good at, because it was the first song we did, but we were olways looking forward to ghostbusters. We waited and waited but instead of ghostbusters we got a new fun song which is YMCA and we all liked.

Something I think we have all reliced is that we have begun to trust each other more and communicate with each other more.

Coming back to school

Coming back to school

Coming back to school was harder than it sounds, for example during lock down we had all the time in the world to get our stuff done. When we came back to school we still had time to do whatever we had to do but it was still hard. We were used to sleeping in and it doesn’t help having to get up at 7:00 am to get to school at 8:00 am.

What did help is that the teachers made the priorities similar to the ones that we did during learning from
home so that made it much less hard. Something else that made getting back to school easier is that
we used our learning from home websites so we were familiar with the links.

Getting back to school was really hard and it took a lot of adapting, to be honest I'm still adapting but
it was made easier than it could have been. Though one thing was really hard, the fact that  one day we
were sleeping in and the next day where up at 7:00 that makes it really hard get back to school.
