The Fibonacci Sequence

The fibonacci sequence is not only in architecture it is also in mother nacher. Mother nacher seems to like the fibonacci sequence because if you start looking it will be in more things then you realise.

Let me start with the basics. The fibonacci sequence use numbers. It gos like this. You have two one by one squares right. then you have one two by two square then one three by three square then won five by five square. To get throws you add two numbers together let's use three and five. Three plus five equals eight right. Now we have so now that we have an eight we will plus the bigger number in the three plus five and plus it to the eight. Now that we have thirteen we will use the bigger number in the five plus eight and plus it against thirteen. Then you will keep doing that using the same pattern.                                                            Now if you put thoughts numbers together wright ad make them squared you will get a spiral.

You can also the fibonacci sequence in architecture. There are many different kinds of spirals so things that might not look like spirals are. That makes it easy to make without even knowing it. Do you have a spiral staircase in your house, well that is a spiral that makes it the fibonacci sequence.

Now as I said at the beginning mother nacher loves the fibonacci sequence so it is so comin almost everywhere. it is in seed pods and in butterfly chrysalis. It is in pine cones and it is even in storms and in tornadoes and cyclones.

Kapa Haka Festival

Yesterday my school, Wainui Beach school, performed at the Kapa Haka festival. It was a festival that happens only once year. It was exciting to get on stage but what I wanted most was to just get Kapa Haka out of the way.

We were waiting outside just off the stage while the announcer introduced us to the crowd. There was a big long clap and we started to walk onto the stage nervously. Now that we were on stage we waited for the Kia to do her command. We had two Kia, one was a boy named Bay and the other was a girl named Matiria. Once the clapping stopped Matiria gave her command and we all walked in close in the middle of the stage. Then Matiria sang the first word to the song and we were of joining in on the next word.

After we finished the first song, Matiria did the separate command and we departed back into our usual lines. We started singing Utina and did our Haka transition. Then we did our Haka, the male Kia named Bay led it. After our speedy Haka we sang the poi song. We sang it again but this time we moved to the back where we were originally. Then we sang it one more time with the girls just doing the poi and with the boys just singing. Then we sang Wainui A and we all walked off stage.

Chess Tournament

This week on wednesday I went to a  chess tournament at Centrul school. At to touriniment I won three games and lost three games.

After I stepped out of the car all the people in the Centrul chess club came to meet us. Once they showed us into the hall where the tournament was being held we divided our self into our row teems. Our two teams were then given name tags and and were told how the tournament worked. Finally the first game started. We played with a clock. The clock was there because It meant that the game could go no longer then ten minutes.

After I won, a very exciting, first game of chess we had a five minute break. Deering the five minute break we were allowed to eat go tolet and more.  After I won my next game we had a neuter brack of five minutes.  Sadly on the next one I lost, Then the next and the next. Finally we were on the last game of the day and I was very determined to win it. Our game was eventful. The person I was going against only had pans left and she kept hiding behind then. finally I just killed the pawns and won the game.

In the end my team lost by one game but the other team our other wainui team lost by like five games.

it was a fun game. We also got ice cream that was really good.

T4 W4 Speeches

This week on Monday we had speech finiles and that is what my blog post is about. Speech finals took up the entire middle block of learning time so it was kind of boring.

On Monday this week we had speech finiles. The problem with that was that we do speech finiles it the hall but my class moved into the hall while our class is renovating. (It still is). The problem with that is that now everyone in the syndicate that I'm in had to squeeze into the small space that was left over.

Finally speech finiles started. The order that the speeches went in, went from year four's to year six. Sadly I didn't do well enough in speeches to make it into the speech finiles so it was very boring.
